Jean Hall

Vinyasa + Daoist Flow

My teaching centres around exploring the rich interplay between movement and consciousness, fluidity and resilence, well-being and embodiment.

I discovered yoga whilst training as a dancer, and it soon became an integral part of my life. Over the years, yoga, movement, meditation and mindfulness have nourished me through life’s ups and downs, supporting my understanding, learning and growth both personally and professionally.

The insights gained through yoga and mindful movement are central in my teaching. I invite a listening to the body’s inner wisdom, to trust its strength and resilience, whilst connecting to the breath as the source of movement and the earth as a place of support.

My classes blend asana (postures) with natural somatic movement principles, creating space for embodied presence so we may explore beyond perceived limitation and befriend our own unique, authentic and courageous self.

Class Descriptions

Vinyasa

Vinyasa yoga centres on the breath as the source for movement flow. This paired with Jean’s experience and passion for guiding bodies and minds to open to their natural strength, freedom and potential makes each class a unique ground for discovery and connection to the wisdom of felt experience (somatic) and wholeness.

During the class both traditional and contemporary approaches are woven in to align body, breath and mind to a flow state of being where movement unfolds into meditation in motion.

Music is used to accompany this class.

All levels of experience are welcome as modifications are given for beginners or those with injuries to make the practice gentler whilst stronger variations of the postures are offered to those who like a challenge!

Daoist Flow

Daoist Flow brings together the essence of yoga, somatics and qigong.

Classes are deep slow flows, that take time to listen, feel and be with bodyful awareness of breath, movement and stillness. Great for reducing stress and tension, while building strength, steadiness and ease.

This class is accompanied by music.

All levels of experience are welcome.
