Lecture and gentle movement based workshop.

 

This evening workshop deals directly with the modern plague of sleeplessness and stress. The Center for Disease Control has declared sleep disorder an epidemic, and this is happening in industrial cities across the world. This workshop will help you re-think your priorities and gives you knowledge to take home with you to help you sleep and live more at ease.

 

This workshop begins with a lecture, and then moves into a gentle restorative sequence of postures and gentle movement that immediately trigger deep relaxation. Simple, powerful, accessible.

 

All levels are welcome. Bring your writing materials.

Opening the Chest & Shoulders

A New State of Energy

Movement based workshop.

 

Some of the negative side effects of using a computer are that we find ourselves with frozen shoulders, sore forearms, and injured wrists. This workshop targets these issues with a special sequence of postures that opens the chest and shoulders, as well as the entire body. This induces an emotional sense of release, brings the mind into stillness, and the body into a new state of energy.

 

This movement workshop is both challenging and very healing.

There’s a time for theory, and there’s a time to let our breath work for us and go beyond what we can rationally grasp to release our congested emotions from stress, depression, anxiety, or PTS. Emotions affect our breathing, for example: crying and laughing. But did you know that changing the pattern of our breathing influences our emotions?

 

An innovative method, simple techniques, and incredible results. The practices you will learn in this workshop take you to a calm and inspired state with new depths of insight.

 

This workshop will include lecture, standing and seated breathing exercises.

Strength, Grace, and Healing

Releasing tension from the upper body feels like taking off a heavy backpack. A backpack filled with stress, worries and suboptimal posture. Through this practice your muscles will stretch and relax and in total you will feel lighter, calmer and invigorated. This will not only benefit your physical body but will also calm and nourish your entire nervous system.

 

Experience Max Strom’s unique Inner Axis yoga practice, with emphasis on emotional health and transformation. Class will include a short talk, inner axis yoga, non-dogmatic philosophy, breathing patterns, and meditation.

Removing the Armor Between Us

We want so badly to be seen, yet we hide—covering ourselves with plates of armor. We want to be seen and heard, yet we camouflage ourselves and stifle our own voice. Even in romantic relationships, some of us never really allow ourselves to become emotionally vulnerable. This is why the process requires some conscious work in opening the heart center. Choosing to, every day anew, reveal the light within and receive the light and love from others.

 

Learn how to build a bridge of deeper connection, meaningful friendship and true intimacy. The workshop includes lecture, writing, Q&A and breathwork. Join Max to gain insights and tools to help you improve your relationships.
