Join Tim and Kino for six days of in-depth anatomical, technical and spiritual analysis of key poses of the Ashtanga Yoga method. Each afternoon session merges essential philosophy and theory with the exploration of your body and asana. All levels are welcome, and students must have an established Mysore-style practice to join the Mysore sessions.

Step onto your mat and immerse yourself in the complete Ashtanga primary series practice with Kino and Tim. Let your breath guide you through the dynamic flow of sun salutations, standing asanas, seated poses, twists, and backbends, culminating in the traditional finishing sequence. This practice is more than just movement—it’s a journey of self-discovery. Explore the true meaning of the practice with a dharma talk from Kino and Tim. Yoga is a path to embodiment of wisdom. Asana brings us into a paradigm of the body in motion. Understanding functional anatomy allows us to learn the language of the body.

 

In this class we will address common yoga pose struggles and learn how to use the practice as a therapeutic and transformational space. With a small change in mindset and technique, you will discover a new way to move and enjoy your physicality. Expect technique, discussion and mild practice.

Underneath the skin, beyond the physical body lies something more subtle and hard to define. Yoga is a quest for the deepest state of connection. This class teaches you how to journey into the inner body in a real and pragmatic way. As the waters of the mind still you are able to perceive the depth level of reality. Cultivate a heightened state of awareness and learn a new paradigm for your practice where less effort equals more results. Drop into the inner body and discover healing, silence and wisdom.

 

Start off with a meditation and apply the subtle focus of inner awareness to select asanas of the Ashtanga Yoga method. Understand what it means to practice with non-attachment and be in a fully surrendered state. Leave with an impartation of the most subtle teachings of yoga.

Chanting, Meditation & Classical Yoga Philosophy Discussion

Explore yoga beyond asana in this classical methodology seminar. Learn a few traditional Sanskrit chants, study key aspects of traditional Yoga Philosophy and experience the benefits of a long period of seated meditation.

 

Learn, and immediately apply, the basic training of mindfulness to quiet and calm the mind. Practice applying the principle of equanimity in body and mind. Through a methodical progression into the inner depths of the mind, body, and spirit, you will access the true nature of your inner being and enter into a state of harmony and coherence.

Open Your Hips

Saturday July 26th: 11.00am-1.00pm

Accessing the deep release and openness that hip rotation requires is a unique combination of anatomical knowledge and inner peace. Join this class to learn the right information and, more importantly, the right frame of mind to gain hip opening from. We will look at access to the deep muscles within the pelvis and learn to relax and release your hips.

 

Be ready for a deep journey into the inner body complete with detailed muscular and skeletal techniques and the subtle body of emotions and energy. Learn how to create the safe space of patience, kindness and tolerance in the deepest regions of the pelvis and watch your hips open.

Intro to Ashtanga Pranayama

Saturday July 26th: 2.00-4.00pm

Yoga often calls our inner body the breath body. In this class you will learn how to breathe in Yoga and connect with your subtle body.

 

We will cover method & mediation of natural breath, ujjayi breath and introduce classic pranayama techniques including select bandhas. Embodied understanding and access unlocks an inner strength of mind and body allowing for deeper states of calm and a meditative mind.

Everyone Loves Handstands!

Sunday July 27th: 1.00-3.00pm

No matter how long you practice handstands, they are benchmark of strength and steadiness that transcends physical disciplines. From yoga, to martial arts, to gymnastics, a stable handstand is the key way to work alignment and mastery. The only thing you need to join this class is a love of handstands.

 

Whether you are a total beginner or have a stable handstand you will learn tools to build strength and alignment while balancing on your hands. Leave with a strength building program that you can do every day to develop the physical and emotional strength to support your handstanding journey.
